- The Osceola City Council authorized Mayor Dickie Kennemore to hire former Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel to represent the city in the fight to keep their courthouse. Right now, Mississippi County has two courthouses, one in Blytheville and the other in Osceola. At a quorum court meeting on June 23, 2015, members voted to move forward with plans to build a new courthouse in Blytheville. County leaders in Osceola wish to keep their courthouse which is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
