- A man was killed Friday while loading beans into a grain bin in Mississippi County. According to Major Larry Robinson with the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, 52-year-old Jeffery Brown of Manila was inside a grain bin when the beans he was loading gave way and fell on top of him. He sank in the beans. Brown was pronounced dead by Mississippi County Coroner Mike Godsey. Several police and fire units from Manila, Osceola, Blytheville and as far as Bay responded to try and rescue Brown.
