MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR - One woman was killed and three others injured in a four-vehicle crash early Monday morning. Cynthia Simmons, 61, of Blytheville was killed in the crash, according to Arkansas State Police.
Police standoff lands man in jail
BLYTHEVILLE, AR - Blytheville police arrested a man after he barricaded himself in a hotel room for almost four hours. Detectives received information that Bobby Chappell, who was wanted for aggravated robbery, was staying at the Relax Inn on Nov. 25. According to police, Chappell barricaded himself in the room and refused to come out when officers arrived at the motel.

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel says health care workers in Benton, Craighead and Mississippi counties have been arrested in separate Medicaid fraud investigations. McDaniel said Tuesday that 33-year-old Jennifer Reid Casey of Rogers is accused of defrauding the Arkansas Medicaid program of more than $27,473.
3 killed, 1 injured after blowout on I-55 in Mississippi Co.
MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR - Three people were killed and one was injured in a Mississippi County crash over the weekend. According to Arkansas State Police, Elva Figurero, 46, Gabriel Figurero, 46, and Navor Medina, 36 were killed in the crash on Interstate 55 just before 11:30 Sunday morning.
